Bruce Imai was born in Boulder, Colorado, on November 13, 1944. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1972, and has since been admitted to the United States District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He completed his undergraduate degree at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon (B.A. 1967), and received his legal education at King Hall at the University of California at Davis (J.D. 1972). He is a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the San Francisco Superior Court, the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California (member of Board of Directors 1997-98) (member of the Construction Law Committee), the Mediation Advisory Committee of the San Francisco Superior Court (1997-99), the Defense Research Institute, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Defense Seminar Association of San Francisco, the Lawyers’ Club of San Francisco (past member of Board of Governors), and the Asian American Bar Association. His primary areas of focus are construction related litigation, premises liability, products liability, and employment discrimination.
